This helps the dashboard users understand the responses to the survey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four table layouts available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Crosstab<\/strong> is also known as a contingency table. It shows the relationship between two or more categorical variables, such as comparing age by department.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Frequency<\/strong> tables show the frequency distribution of various categories or values in the data responses, commonly used to show one-variable data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grid<\/strong> tables display related variable data in rows and columns.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Statistics<\/strong> tables provide a quick overview of key statistics, such as the mean, median, standard deviation, and count for different variables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Insert a table<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the dashboard and select the <strong>Insert widget<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"244\" height=\"118\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Screenshot-2025-12-18-115427.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15225\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the <strong>Tables <\/strong>menu, select the table and drag to the dashboard editor. This adds the table to the dashboard and opens the table settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Title<\/strong>, enter the title description for the table .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Type<\/strong> defaults to the table type you selected in the menu, but you can change the table type to any of the available charts or tables.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Table settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four tabs: Definition, Calculate, Include and Style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Definition tab defines which data is used in the table .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Calculate tab gives the option to select how the data is calculated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Include tab gives the option to include responses with errors, not asked or no reply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Style tab gives the option to display a shadow and customise the padding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"347\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Screenshot-2025-12-18-120105.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Screenshot-2025-12-18-120105.png 347w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Screenshot-2025-12-18-120105-274x300.png 274w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 347px) 100vw, 347px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Definition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each table definition is set to the default for its table type, when created. You can change the <strong>Type<\/strong> to the options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2-D includes both Rows (Analysis) and Columns (Break)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-D includes Rows (Analysis)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grid <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Descriptive statistics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In <strong>Rows<\/strong> (Analysis), click the <strong>Select<\/strong> button and choose a variable from the list, then click OK. You can select more than one variable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Columns<\/strong> (Break), click the <strong>Select<\/strong> button and choose a variable from the list, then click OK. You can select more than one variable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Filter<\/strong>, enter the filter criteria, e.g. Q1=2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Transpose<\/strong>, if you want to transpose the table .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Calculate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This tab determines how the data is calculated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Crosstab, Frequency and Grid tables:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose the <strong>Cells <\/strong>option from Counts, Row persents, Column percents or Total percents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the <strong>Base <\/strong>option from Response or Respondents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Statistics table:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the statistics from Count, Sum, Mean, Min, Max, Range.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the <strong>Base <\/strong>option from Response or Respondents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Include<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>Errors <\/strong>if you want to include data with errors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Not Asked<\/strong> if you want to include data that was not asked<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>No Reply<\/strong> if you want to include data that had no reply<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Style<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the&nbsp;<strong>Style<\/strong> tab, you can set&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/snapxmp\/changing-the-style\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the shadow and padding<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Save and Apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to save all the changes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Apply <\/strong>to apply the changes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Restore <\/strong>to return to the original values, if the chart was edited. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Cancel <\/strong>to abandon the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resize the table<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can resize the table box by dragging the resize arrows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Crosstab<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Crosstab table displays the number of guests that used
